Our Wattbike Studio has been set up for all levels and abilities, whether you’re a serious hardened cyclist or simply a beginner that wants to build their fitness and stamina. Our friendly staff can offer you a bespoke training programme to suit your cycling needs.

The skilled team at Spoke & Co can help you on your road to cycling improvement and get the results you’re looking for. Due to the Wattbike equipment, Spoke & Co can measure up to 40 parameters about your riding, giving you live updates as you ride.

Our Coaches

Simon Day

Has over 40 years of bike riding experience and knowledge of coaching at many levels.

Rode as a Professional for 8 years and has multiple National medals both on the road and track.

Still competes now in the very competitive National Veterans competition.

Has a great depth of understanding of Pedalling technique, bike fits, nutrition and general Body Conditioning.

Available for one to one and group sessions.

Chris Hunt

Chris has 34 years coaching experience, and is best known as a triathlon and cycling coach. He was awarded British Triathlon coach of the year in 2009, and has coached athletes to national, European and World titles. Perhaps best known for his work with award winning triathlete Lucy Gossage (multiple ironman champion, 2 times European Duathlon champion, 3rd fastest UK all time women’s 100m TT) and Lou Bates (multiple Ironman Podium, Kona Age group world champion, National Hill Climb champ, multiple road and TT podiums), he was also for many years head coach at TFN triathlon club, helping many people from complete beginners to seasoned athletes achieve significant goals. He is also heavily involved with Abbey Road School cycling club working with over 60 children aged 7-12 improve their cycling skills and confidence.

As an athlete Chris is a keen off road cyclist, competing in both Cyclocross and MTB races (for Nottingham Clarion). He has some (old) PB’s of 54 min for a 25, 22 mins for a 10, and 1 hour 55 mins for an Olympic distance triathlon.Chris is looking forward to working with the Spoke&Co team to provide some focused and tailored Watt bike sessions in their excellent new facility. Offering a mix of relaxed, fun but hard work sessions, Chris can help you improve your cycling performance and fitness, wherever you are starting from and aiming to get to.

Helen Dussek

Helen is a British Cycling L2 coach and a part time primary/PE teacher at Abbey Road School. She has been part of the coaching team at both Nottingham Clarion Cycling Club and Abbey Road Primary School for the past four years, coaching riders of a wide range of age and experience.

She started cycling eight years ago when she realised her children were soon going to be riding their bikes too fast to keep up with on foot and then competed in triathlon and running events for several years before decided off road bike racing was much more fun!

She is keen to encourage others, and women in particular, to try something new, set realistic goals and most importantly enjoy themselves.
